Plein Air 2013 - Cloud Chasing

On Monday I went painting Plein Air for the first time this year, with my friend (hardcore plein air painter) Aaron Johnson. We drove out to a nice lookout spot on the old Pullman Highway, then raced back to his studio to pick up a Grad Student (painting) from the U of I - then back out for one more quick painting... Aaron is a whirlwind of paint and brushes - you have to be when you are trying to capture clouds. Below are my ventures, check out Aaron's wonderful painterly paintings on his website:

Those look wonderful, Dana! You've captured form and movement quickly on the clouds, not an easy task. Congrats!

Lol thanks, Diana! I don't know why I expected the clouds to stay still. ;)
